Bonnie and I arrived in Dublin on April 2 right after Bonnie's visit in Sevilla for Semana Santa.  Of course, it was raining when we arrive true to Irish norms.  We found our way through the gloomy, rainy streets to our hostel where Alex was already waiting for us.  We dropped off our bags and then went to St. Stephan's Green which is one of the nice pretty parks in Dublin and then along some shopping streets.  We walked around the grounds of Trinity College, but it was closed inside.  We went to the Temple Bar area and ate at the Old Storehouse Pub.  I had an Irish beer, Smithwick's, and a beef casserole, which was basically mashed potatoes and beef stew on top.  It was delicious and filling.  Just as we were finishing, a band started to play some traditional Irish music and a little girl got up and started to Irish dance which was really interesting! How stereotypically awesome! After dinner we headed back to the hostel to get some sleep for the next day of travel!
